  18. Hi there, "Amiga Lovers", here is my CD32/Sx32 setup...

  20.         There is much talk in the industry about 500$ NET terminals, and set-
  21. top boxes, here is my setup which represents, in my opinion the future of
  22. Internet Terminals....
  23.         It's inexpensive, very compact and elegant (about 1/4 of the Walker
  24. size), quite fast and most of all its works perfectly well...
  25.         At the end of this message I've included a few things I'd put on my
  26. wishlist.

  28. Here is my config to surf on the NET (much better than the AT Surfer pack)

  50. As my cd32 is, my setup is quite easy to carry arround, I can carry it
  51. with me find a TV screen, a phone plug for my pocket modem (cigarette box
  52. sized....)

  54. I genarally surf with  some great TRANCE background CD-MUSIC (easy for a CD32)
  55.  
  56.         When I don't surf on the NET I play Gloom Deluxe with a special cp2
  57. routine taking full advantage of the "akiko" chunky to planar chip (with a
  58. result exceeding that of of an A 4000/040), still with a backround CD mixing
  59. perfectly with Gloom Deluxe Sounds...

  61.         My system is quite fast, and inexpensive  (not PPC or Pentium like
  62. but who cares, anyway my system is cheaper and it suits my needs) it's
  63. also very compact (CD32 sized)  and User friendly, fully customized to meet
  64. all my computer needs
  65.         BTW try doing that with a Saturn or a PSX ;-)

  67. There are only a few things that I'd put on my wish list to be fully happy :

  70. +NETSCAPE (either 1.x or 2.0x) because I've tried all the Amiga Browsers :

  72. Amosaic 2.0, IBrowse, AWeb, Mindwalker, but they don't satisfy my
  73. needs (yes I need fast image loading and display and asynchronous comms)
  74. and the few browsers that came close to those requirements do crash a lot...

  79. I hate SimCity 2000 and I find SimCity 1.4 too slow and with a too small
  80. window (I'd like to be able to FTP download while playing SimCity quite fast
  81. in a dblpal flicker free screen and listening to a background cd)

  93. Yes I hate MS$@@@ and its products but they are the industry standards, you
  94. can help it and for doing serious work you need to be able to save and open
  95. MS documents from Mac and PCwindoz
  96. For the moment I use a small Macintosh Powerbook 100 (68000 4/40) sitting next
  97. to my CD32 setup (that is very compact) in order to convert and print
  98. Microsoft made documents and exchange them with Amiga with 720k DOS disks...
  99. I like FW but it lacks imoprt/exports filters
